Do a 'life in the day' video of an audio guy on set. A 5 to 10 minute mini documentary so to speak from setup to tear down.

This video its so helpful! I would love to see more videos about on set audio set ups for beginners!

That thump track idea is fantastic. It's probably really common, but I'd never have thought of it myself. The closest I'd come was timing b-roll actions to a metronome. Similar, but completely different.

You are doing such good work. Audio is often ignored by people starting out, or there are so few resources available for learning.

Great video!! Could you do a video on how sound mixers break down a script or prepare and work with a script to approach production and editing. Or in essence how to approach doing sound design for an independent film. Thanks!

the job is very good and interesting also the audio is often neglected by people who are just starting out, or there are very few resources available for learning

If you could cover it I'd like (and I bet others would too) a video on how to mic up two people near each other and avoiding phasing issues / interference problems. It's a really common issue for podcasters, interviews and YTbers. Keep up the great informational content!
@thomasorozco2 жыл бұрын
Hi, I think if you pan each person’s mic hard left & hard right, that may eliminate your phasing issue?! 👍🏼😆

That was a cool video. I've never thought about that before. One idea for a video would be how loud should the audio be. What is normalization and LFS(?) and which is better?

Thank you for the Thump Track idea. I never thought about that. AWESOME!!! I just would like to have seen how you would have routed the timecode to the comtek transmitter.
@DeityMicrophones6 жыл бұрын
Routing the TC is easy. So the mono music track is panned to the right and TC is panned to the left. The USB audio box plugged into the Laptop than has 2 outputs, L/R. The left output is than plugged into the Comtek TX. The Right output is than sent to the speaker(s).

Can we get another more in depth video for the music video playback set up and time code.
@KevinLin1456 жыл бұрын
Do a video about recording sound in a studio or home studio. These on-set tips are great but sometimes a scene would be better done ADR or just doing a project where audio isn't needed on set. : DD

Can you do a more detailed tutorial on how to add timecode to the audio track and how to send the timecode to various places? Ideally if you can show how to add timecode to the audio in Premiere, FCPX, and Resolve. I imagine you send the timecode to the cameras too but how is that done? What comtek transmitter/receivers are those? Is there a Deity equivalent? We are using the BMPCC4k which can easily accept timecode. Thanks!

When and why would you have the song at different speeds? What's the purpose? I know the camera then they match that speed, say like 12 fps or 19 fps. Also, what's the purpose of a beep track?
