Thank you for this video. I'm currently designing an F-84 Thunderjet in 1/18th scale and for my panel lines I used the Project To Surface feature instead. However this method isn't perfect either. If I select Closest Point the lines end up in weird places. If I select Along Vector I get a decent result with exceptions. Depending on the curvature a rectangle can become a parallelogram once projected to the surface. Another question I have is regarding the Pipe command. What does the distance setting do? Thank you, Gene

That is a very good question you have. It allows you to specify the distance of the pipe you would like to draw along a spline. Example. draw a sketch using a spline like I did in the video. Then go to the pipe command. Select the spline as the path. You will see the arrow show up. You can drag that arrow for the distance you want or type in the length you want in the distance box. You may not want the have the whole spline as a pipe so you can specify the distance. I hope this helps.

- 'Project to Surface' will work just fine: use 'Project Type':'Along Vector' :)

That way works fine also.

@@cadbuildflyrc3784 - Yes. - And, if I understand the design intent correctly, it produces same result as workflow shown in vid, but simpler :) - Anyhow, nice model :) Carry on...
