Thanks. I spend a long time trying to get access to my Homeassistant on my new Mikrotik router. This did the trick :)

Thank you! Initially I had problems not having configured both ports (HTTP and Server). Now with the two set up, it worked.

Very confusing May you show the complete details steps for dvr portsforwarding : 1. Home router and dvr devices configurations, and how to solve port 80 being blocked. 2. Company routers like fortinet and Cisco and back to the dvr devices configurations. 3. How to assign and select the correct ports and IP address. 4. For home dhcp or Dynamic IP and static IP used by company. How it works and configured Thanks

So if my public ip is dynamic ip, how can i config my router?? tks
@ease96486 жыл бұрын
You cannot configure your router to work with Dynamic Public IP unless you use third party stuff such as DynDNS, which is not free. I suggest you check more whether your DVR support P2P. If Yes, better try it first before considering subscribe to sth else which is to be paid

In Microtik RouterOs menu: IP ➡️ Cloud ➡️ enable ☑️ That is fixed address to refer to when accessing from outside.

What if NVR has static ip like 192.168.254.1 and router ip pool is 192.168.88.1.?
@ease96485 жыл бұрын
to make thing less complicated, assign a new static ip to your NVR (let's say 192.168.88.250). you may also change ip address of each IP camera connected to the NVR
@AsadMulla4 жыл бұрын
The address 192.168.254.1 on hikvision isnt the lan address for internet. That is only the ip address for the cameras to connect to. The NVR has a bunch of poe ports and a single LAN port. You connect your router cable to the single lan port. You shouldn't get 192.168.254.1 rather you should get whatever ip address range your router has assigned via DHCP
