1 set of movement is called1 "rokaat" consist of standing (recite al fatihah), ruku (bow down), standing again, sajadah/sujud (prostrate), sit down, sujud (prostrate again). Repeat this pack depend on which kind of shalat how many "rokaat" it should do. only for shalat consist of more than 2 rokaat (3-4 rokaats) there is additional movement at 2nd rokaat and at 4th rokaat that is "sit down after 2nd sujud" then recite "attahiyah"

Best time to make dua, when i really want something i spend a lot of time in sajdah making dua and asking God for everything, for forgiveness, for Jannah for my family and people that i've hurt, health and weatlh here, good deeds etc .. i've had my prayers answered like insane, repeatedly, it's really just like having conversation with your creator, HE understands you more than you understand yourself

Reciting the Quran in the "musical way/singing" (called Tajwid ) is extremly soothing. It gives you vibration in your chest and helps focus and opening your emotions. It feels like cat purs. This is a reason praying in arabic is very encouraged.

Advice for my brothers and sisters who want to learn Prayer, Before learning HOW TO PRAY, try to learn first WHAT IS PRAYER, and WHY WE PRAY, then we will be happy to do it, not forced and become a burden, because ISLAM is not difficult and does not make it difficult for its people, that is how ALLAH the All-Wise is towards his obedient servants. Sometimes there are even some Muslims who are lazy to pray because they do not know what the true purpose and essence of prayer is.

Hi Han and Kelly, I would advise that you check another video as this one might be hard to follow initially to its fullest along with the accent-which may or may not make it harder to decipher. He was teaching the brother the more lengthier, beneficial version of prayer. Meaning more blessings if followed in the format in the video. Example, reciting Surah Fatihah is a must for every salah (prayer). It is then more beneficially rewarding to recite another surah (or short verses from Quran, essentially a short paragraph)-the way taught in the video-however, it is not an obligation to do another surah after Surah Fatihah but highly recommended (mustahab). When praying in congregation, it is normal for 2 surahs (Surah Fatihah + extra surah) to be recited by the leader of the prayer, in which case the people following the prayer from behind remain silent for these surahs. So start off learning Surah Fatihah and when you are comfortable to learn another surah, incorporate it then. Otherwise, you may bow after Surah Fatihah saying Allahu Akbar if you don't know any other surah or may have an urgent matter to deal with or not enough time before next prayer starts, etc. I would recommend learning Surah Ikhlas as your first additional surah. Likewise, there is an extended beneficial way of doing Wudu: multiple parts three times and there is a sufficient way which is certain body parts once. I recommend learning the three times version for Wudu as the good deeds for Wudu is highly rewarding. Only try to resort to the sufficient wash-once method if it becomes a necessity like lack of time, or strength/laziness.

Alhamdullillah. For someone new, the most important is movement. You may start with stand straight and say Allahuakbar (Allah the All Mighty). Recite in Arabic may be challenging. You may say in your heart " Ya Allah, I'm is your humble creation is asking your blessing. -you can add any good praise to Allah. 2. Rukuk 3. Shujood- In your heart say I'm looking for the safety, protection and successful in this world and hereafter. Guide me to the straight path. 4. Sit between shujood 5. Shujood - repeat step 3 6. Tahyat- as Muslim we recite syahadah, and say Salam to prophet Muhammad and Abraham 7. Salam - right and left 8. End

the Emam missed to say that every pray of five prays a day ...have number of Rakaa s . the emam explained one rakaa , and this should be repeated according to number of rakaas for every pray( Fajr =2 , Zohr = 4 , Asr = 4 , Magreb = 3 , Esha = 4 )

Salah is mandatory for a muslim even if you are newly revert to islam, then you are obligated to do salah. But if dont know what to recite in your salah for the first time, you can say just Allah.. Allah.. Allah.. With all the movement in your salah.. (The point is to remembering Allah in all time). And after that you can start to memorize what to recite in your salah the correct way.. Step by step untill you memorize all of the recitation in salah..
