1- God has put rules in the quran, and god doesn't need to break his own rules. God's rule in the quran is if you associate someone with him in worship, thinking that that person or thing is AS GOOD as god himself that is highly nonsensical and thus forbidden. Jesus was created by god, how is he as good as god? 2- To be a muslim just testify in whatever language that "god is the only one deserving of worship, and jesus and muhammad are his prophets". i think, dr zakir did not saying mother theresa will go to hell, or enter jannah, by doing shirk. but, dr zakir only warn us, based on quran, if we do shirk, we cant enter jannah. i think, in islam very clear, all sins can be forgiven, only 1 sin cant be forgiven. and it is shirk.and i think both of you understand about it.

We cannot input our own ideas and speculation with revelation such as speculating another place beside hell, god is energy and god within us etc. These are ideas we learn from other sources and cannot be merged with islam unless there is something in the religion which supports it. We should accept that which is clear and makes sense just like how one purchases an apple when they are convinced it is an apple. Islam is submission to the will of Allah which includes complying with his legislations on how He wants us to live. One of the reasons women do not want to accept islam is because they do not want to wear hijab which is a loose garments which cover body shape and head, however you will find this was common practice in the world before the industrial revolution in 19th century as sign of nobility and honor. Even Mary mother of Jesus is pictured wearing hijab. There is wisdom behind the legislations of Allah and muslims must submit whole heartedly and not cherry pick from the legislations even if they do not understand reasons behind the laws otherwise it is not submission to the will of Allah but rather submitting to ones own will.
