There really isn’t a tribal stigma anymore regarding skaters who wear helmets. Nearly all indoor skateparks require those under 18 to wear one, under 12 full pads. There’s usually someone in every 18+ age group wearing one. Pros that young & old skaters admire like Andy Anderson chooses to wear one. Anyone making fun of anyone for wearing one it’s very much the exception these days-and more damaging talk like that will marginalize you w/ everyone in what is normally a very diverse and accepting environment.
