The happy baby and Sakura bloom are apron style carriers so they are supposed to sit where an apron would sit at the smallest part of your waist. That way baby sits up higher up :)

Came here to say the same. Move the wait band uo higher. It does work for larger women because it’s very adjustable. I am a 14/16 and this is a carrier I use all the time!

I have a carrier like this! I would pull it up a bit higher on waist so baby sits less at hips and more at your belly button
