This video was very helpful! I have the Amazon ones you showed and a couple others like the Thinx underwear and Period Co reusable pads. But I needed to replace my Amazon ones.

Awesome! I'm trying the second favorite pad. So pretty. All my period underwear got ruined and this was perfect timing. Thank you 😊 💓

You’re welcome! Oh no! I’ve thought about trying period underwear like thinx before, but just haven’t yet. How did they get ruined if you don’t mind my asking? So I’m prepared for when I try them out 😅😂

@@WilsonHomestead it's a little embarrassing what happened to them, I have 2 puppies that took them out of the laundry and chewed them up 😬😅 I loved them tho. Just can't afford them right now. They lasted several years tho. It was an off branch that used bamboo cloth. Never had a leak.

Haha good to know, I'll have to watch out for that ;)

Thank you for this video Megan. So helpful! I’ll be trying cloth pads for the first time. Quite exciting. Lol I’m wondering if your wash routine for cloth pads is the same as it is for the cloth diapers? (The video from 3 years ago) 😊
@WilsonHomestead2 жыл бұрын
Yes it's the same wash routine for cloth diapers, period pads, and regular clothes :)

I've actually never considered cloth pads. Thanks for sharing! Do you have a special wet bag you put them in?
@WilsonHomestead2 жыл бұрын
You’re welcome! Yes they’re awesome!! Yes I just use a smaller sized wet bag that is hanging in the laundry room next to my big cloth diaper wet bags. Just any brand of travel sized wet bags work good.

Ah darn! The first link says unavailable 😔 was hoping to get these since the quality seemed great since they lasted you so long! Also, do you wash them with cloth diapers or just in the regular laundry? How many would be a good amount to have do you think? I'm taking a break from cloth diapers so I'm hoping they can be washed normally. Thank you!!!

I dry store and at the end of my cycle I do a soak. Then put in the wash with my towels.

So helpful, thank you! How often do you find you have to change the cloth pads on your heaviest days? I’m wondering how many to buy to last most of a cycle
@WilsonHomestead2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I usually have to change them twice a day on my heaviest days, once in the morning and once at night. Then only once every 24 hours on my lighter days.

I've been using cloth pads since I was 18 and recently bought a period panty from Victoria's Secret just to try out. They are SO much more comfortable than cloth pads but significantly more expensive especially if you need a stash of them. I definitely want to invest in a few more quality ones (not VS)

I've also always used the charcoal liner pads, they're indestructible haha. I still have the ones from my original stash 6 years ago!!

Oh cool I've never tried those before! But if they are even more comfortable than pads, I would definitely like to! :) Wow 6 years is pretty good! Definitely got your moneys worth!
