Can I just say, you look completely normal, natural, and acceptable in this video and there's absolutely no reason to apologise for your appearance. In fact, as a mother to a little girl myself, I'm trying to be very conscious of the way I talk about myself. My own mum always talked herself down for as long as I can remember and it shaped the way I saw myself and my own worth in a negative way. We are more than our appearance, our weight, or whatever else we as women often worry about 💛

@Alexandra these braids aren't 1) tight enough or 2) worn for days on end like the braids that damage the skin. They get taken out for the bath at the end of the day. Having fine hair myself, and my daughter also having fine hair with tender head, my daughter can sit well with these braids. No complaints, no scalp itching... My mother would pull my hair to the point of making me cry, and my scalp would itch a few hours into wearing the styles she would do for me. This braid here has the wax and is a reverse Dutch braid, which in combination can give that smooth definition without being painfully tight.

I was so proud of myself. Well come to find out my cousin who is extremely good at all kinds of braids informed me that thus whole time that I've been braiding my own hair that I've actually been doing dutch braids on myself lol. Again not very well though lol. And i dont understand how I managed to do it lol. But I've wanted to be able to do all kinds of braids on anyone including myself since i was in elementary school. Unfortunately though I just didnt understand how to do dutch braids no matter who tried to give me tips and tried to help me I just could not understand it. However after watching this tutorial I FIRMLY believe that I can do it now. I just gotta get a way to practice it lol.
