I tried doing this technique on myself and it was way more confusing than I thought it would be! It looks so easy! Plus I’m not used to having long thick hair. Definitely takes longer to curl. I just started playing around with a curling wand instead of an iron. That seems easiest.

And should the ends be stringy , rough feeling with split ends and a micro amount of thickness compared to the top extension base ?

We recommend doing a double French braid or a side braid for a looser curl.

Hey!! we love Cass! This is such a great idea, we have it on our list to shoot... thank you for your feedback. When you are curling just make sure to curl those top pieces in with your extensions. Also, don't leave the ends straight at the top like you would at the base, it needs to blend into the curl or wave pattern of the rest of your hair as well. But we will shoot a tutorial because this is a great idea.

We recommend a 1inch barrel for this look. Heat settings are dependent on your current state of hair and it is best to ask your hair stylist 😊

Oh no! Be sure to use a heat protectant and use an iron that you can change the temperature, usually 300°-350°.

Hello :) I’ve had my extensions in for a week now. I washed them for the 1st day Wednesday and they have gone so frizzy and tangled, do you know what I may have done wrong? I used sulfate free and paraffin free shampoo/conditioner too. Also I’ve just purchased the curling tong you use. My hair is naturally short and frizzy! Hoping it’s not too difficult to curl your way 😬 x

Hey girl! I’m certainly no expert, but my stylist had me pick up a leave in conditioner called Crackhead, it’s in a baby blue tube. It can also be used on dry hair. I also use an Argan oil leave in conditioner, especially on the ends, called Argan magic hair cream. I use Tweak’d hair cleanser that I get from QVC or HSN, I’m sorry, I can’t remember which one. When I don’t use the Tweak’d, I use Matrix Total Results length goals shampoo & conditioner. Sometimes I use Biolage sleek spray in a yellow bottle. I hope this helps! I do know that keeping extensions conditioned is a must so they don’t dry out & get fuzzy. 🙂

Hey!! It could be the quality of the hair extensions but here are some suggestions. Use a high quality shampoo conditioner, something designed for hair extensions. We suggest using a detangler and also using a leave in conditioner. You’ll want to use a clear oil, one that does not have a tint to it because that can alter the color of your hair extensions. Hey! Are you using any oil on your hair extensions? We recommend applying oil every single day. Are you using any clarification products? This can suck the moisture out of them hair as well.
