How to: Dodge roadblocks on NFSMW

Want to learn the weakness of alle the policecars and roadblocks on Need for Speed - Most Wanted?
This is a short video, that will show you how to avoid getting stuck in roadblocks. It also learns you the weakness of all policecars on NFSMW.
Policecars on NFSMW are lighter in the back, and heavier in the front. This makes it very easy, if there is a single-standing policecar in a roadblock, just bang the backside of it. Also head for fences if there are. Remember to use the speedbreaker.

Protip: NEVER approach roadblocks in the middle of the road Always aim for the walls, the cars face away from it and you're less likely to hit the spikes which on wide roads are always in the middle (unless those areas where there are two spikes and the cars are on the middle)

The layout of roadblocks/spike strips will also differ depending on how wide the roads are. Streets in the downtown area will usually have three police cars + spike strip with the wall blocked off by a police car facing front, meaning you will have to go through the police car in the middle instead.

My only problem is that when you hit the cars from the front, they have a better chance of flipping over and adding to your immobilized car count, and I LOVE seeing that in a high number when I do pursuits. I'll admit that it increases the chances of getting busted, though. The problem is never the actual roadblock. It's always 2 things. 1) The fact that your car's front becomes airborne and 2) The car that suddenly appears to block you after hitting the car that was in the block. -_-

one tips: if you hit the roadblock with traffic cars (except the container truck) from high speed, the probability of escape from hitting roadblock will increased.

get a mustang and max it out with performance. they do so much damage to cops you can ram a heavy suv in the front if youre going very fast (300+km/h) and the suv goes flying

the technical reason for this is the engine. the engine of the car as well as all the other heavy parts are in the front hood of the car. the engine alone could weigh 600-1000 lbs. I've never seen the trunk of a police car (spent plenty of time in the back seat though) but i assume they'd just have equipment there. now they just need to stop putting the trunk end of the car near the spike strips.

1. Speed up. doing at a top speed should fling police cars away. during a roadblock. 2. Look for the sides of the roadblock, be sure that you hit the rear side. and if there is another car at the back, go for the only one car. 3. If there are spikes, you may either listen or notice it quickly, if you see a unusual gap, don't pass there. 4. When locked, use anything that you got to speed up. hitting the police car at high speed can make lots of bounty. 5. lastly never be afraid. fear=game over.

If you only hit the back then your roadblock crashes won't be that interesting. You'll essentially just drive straight through them without causing much damage. If you're like me and looking to immobilise roadblock cars, without a high chance of getting busted either, then my tips will be useful.

And hitting the middle part or the engine part of the police car is a rookie mistake to some gamers. That's why one of the best way to loose the 5-0's is to sideswipe or better known as hitting-the-rear-with-front-side-bumper-technique. it makes a rioting crash on the road making a roadblock for the cops. The most insane thing is that the usual way to escape roadblocks is to drive-thru the side with a fast speed, of course use common sense on where to hit it. I don't use speedbreakers in chases.

Cross is light? w00t? Impossible, I noticed this in NFS Carbon when using a trainer and hitting Cross at a high speed only takes out one-fourth of his health

One way to put it is keen instincts and rather an ease up person. all you have to do is to speed up. notice in the minimap that a roadblock is formed or in the scanner when it is spoken. here are few guidelines to achieve roadblock-free day:

Assuming your speed is over 200 KPH (125 MPH): SUV Heavy: back only. GTO, Corvette, SUV Light: back half or centre. Civic Cruiser: Anywhere apart from extreme front.

From my experience, I think that what I am saying is true. I use exotic cars like the Gallardo or Murcielago - perhaps it will be different for muscle cars. I'm going to buy a Corvette and test it out in pursuits.

here is another one:some roadblocks are near the person walking area, you will see a gap go to the gap and one of the police officers gets stuck in the roadblock some of them gets through, i did that lots of times now.

THe middle of your car should be lined up with the rear tires and the police car with automatically flip easily and very far unless you miss a tiny bit and it will spin sideways.

Yeeahh, that was the good ol days, when you could glitch underneath/around the map to where the cops couldn't get you and when you hit a cop in a roadblock at high speeed and they flipped 40-50 times... Nowadays you can't even do a good P.I.T. manuever right without bouncing off the other cars bumper and hitting the semi in the lane next to you. I mean, its TERRIBLE... Just like my friend said, physics engines went down the shitter since PS3/xbox 360 came out >:O!

use civilian (normal) cars as your shield then hit any part of roadblock (except helicopter and spikestrip - -" ) you'll escape easily and make major damage to police cars :)

I am pretty sure you can just pass through the roadblock by avoding it and driving your vehicle to the left side @ 1:10 the space between the police car and the wall is huge enough for you to pass by.
