If you want to DOMINATE THE COURT, you need to take more tennis forehands from the centre corridor of the court. Most players feel more confident in their forehands and commit fewer errors so using your forehand more is just smart. You can choose to hit Inside In or Inside out to keep your opponent guessing. And you'll also force them to hit more precise if they still want to get to your (possibly) weaker backhand.

As usual, I love your videos and explanations. I'm from a similar generation as you. I'm somewhat comfortable with the one-handed backhand. But do you think it's too late for me to start learning the two-handed backhand, it looks safer. I'm a recreational player.

First off, thanks for your kind words! I don't think it's ever too late to learn new things. BUT, it might be easier to work more on getting your forehand from the middle corridor and then rely on your backhand to keep that as the steady shot. Making changes always take a while to solidify.

The pro where I play said the same - getting the 2-hander to where it's as good as my 1-hander would take a huge amount of time and practice that would be better spent on other aspects of my game, given my age...

Nice job on getting sponsor but that’s not helpful for the amateurs watching, obviously. Dominate with the forehand? You have to have a dominant forehand. Duh. Can you control your opponent with your accuracy and power? Do you have the foot speed? As a former top tenner in the world, I can say that it would not have paid off for me. It’s highly unlikely that anyone with a dominant forehand would not take advantage. And most 4.5 players and higher make far fewer errors with their backhand. If you make more errors in your backhand than in your forehand, you need to work on your backhand.

The closed mindedness of this comment. It’s a tool that helps to make players a bit more aware of what “we all assume we are doing “ It’s certainly a very helpful insight for amateurs other than another technical video. From 3.0-Hugh level juniors, there is value in objective data.
