The third method worked for me!! I followed your steps and thank you very much for helping me! I am a Vortex user, it is worth mentioning that I uninstalled F4 and Vortex and reinstalled them again and followed the 3rd method directly and then installed F4SE 0.6.23 manually and it worked!!! For what it's worth, I have F4 on Steam and all the DLC except the high definition texture pack. Thanks!!

i have attempted both methods listed here, the closest i have gotten was with the depot method but it still crashes when i boot up F4se, i looked and everything seems to be in the right version. what could i be doing wrong now? EDIT: i did it again and restarted steam and attempted to load it on steam by accident then loaded it with F4se and it worked!

i reinstalled the game ond followed al the instructions and then it started but my menu looks empty , idk what did i do wrong?

I have tried every method I can find on YT... Simple downgrader, regular downgrader, importing all the files manually... Nothing works. When I try the downgrader programs, when I launch (or try to launch) the game via the launcher to bypass steam, I get an error saying the launcher is out of date (and it references the .163 version), and that I should update that. Anyone have any advice?

By launcher, are you referring to the F4SE loader? Make sure you downloaded the correct version. Should be 0.6.23

I actually had my game set to "Only update this game when I launch it" so Steam must have forced the update, I even double checked to see if I have forgotten, and low and behold it was still set to NOT update, so imagined my surprise after playing Skyrim for a bit to see Fo4 3/4 a way done with the update, I tried to stop it but looks like you can't, Damn Steam/Bethesda😫😫😒😒

i hope here someone could help me, i downgraded the fallout and when i execute the f4se loader 6.23 for the old versión of fallout 4 an error appears saying "steamuser procedure entry point not found in dynamic link library" and not launching the game and there where i´m stuck not allowing me to play a collection of mods, if someone could helpme ´ll be so grateful.

2:55. I want to share that making the backup of a game won't help if Fallout 4 updates. I had my 1.10.163 as steam's backup, but anyway it is installing as updated.

That wasn't what I was getting at. I meant that you would have to download less, saving you the time it took to get the full game.

Can i install F4SE, address library and BA2 using vortex or do i have to install them manually?

I'm having a similar issue i tried manually but failed miserably installing manually game kept crashing and i know you gotta extract the CC files

hm... i did all right, but the game crashes, when i launch it... I used 0.6.23 F4SE, and all 2 other requirements, and did second and third method, but still, it doesnt work... bruh

Can´t quit a game that was so perfectly polished up by a dedicated modding scene for almost 10 years now just because The Toddler wants a 2nd cash out. It´s worth the effort if I look at the possibilities to adjust and tune this game to almost whatever I want.
