On X it is not possible due to incompatible SEP /BB with iOS 16 and 15 but on 8/8+ you can... You can restore to iOS 15 on 8/8+ as SEP/BB is not so much broken but you get unable to activate error which can easy be fixed by any app that can generate valid activation tickets.
