Guys I recommend as much as the beta looks cool u should wait until ios 18 drops in September its lowkey no use to doing it early when its on the brink of issues and problems and bugs, because if u never updated while on ur ios 17 than everything is technically gone if u plan to downgrade pls dont not let ur phone get damaged by the update wait until the time is nesscary it will cause blinking mileage on storage problems with ur battery life, Problems with ur storage and a decrease of ur phone mobility ❌ do not update❌

@@amarisocasio320 it wont let you restore to an iOS 18 backup on iOS 17. If you don’t have an iOS 17 backup and you don’t wanna lose your data, you’re stuck on iOS 18. You can downgrade to 17 but then you’ll have to start from scratch.

@@alfrobinson1370 when you do the backup it makes ur phone act brand new your supposed to do a back up before u do iOS 18 so the backup has all your data so as long as you backed up your data you can keep all your stuff but I forgot to backup so I just used my iPads backup

what if I backed up my iphone on ios 18 and i do this downgrade but didn’t back up on ios 17. And after this downgrade ans i chose restore from icloud back up from my mac. will it go back to ios 18 or stay on 17 with my data still on their from my back ups. And will i lose my esim if i do this downgrade?

@@alfrobinson1370 I don't know if I responded or not but you're gonna lose everything it's gonna be like your phones fresh out the box and I already did it but basically it's like your phone is like brand new and then you just do your back up like I use my back up from my iPad and yeah, I'm good

I had the backup in Mac and when I try to restore content, it is not compatible with iOS 17 unless I upgrade it to iOS 18. How can I restore my content on iOS 17 then?

Same issue since the latest itunes update. It is literally either stay on ios 18 or lose all your data 💔

I had the same problem. Before clicking "Restore iPhone" you need to hold on a PC with windows the "Shift" button on the Mac you need to hold the "Option" key. If you are holding the key just click the "Restore iPhone" button and search for the file IOS 17.5.1 where u Download it and iTunes will do the rest for himself

i had the same problem aswell but if your using a pc and not a mac book, make sure the usb youre using is connected in the right port on the pc, then try again and it should work
