How to download high-resolution Georeferenced Google Earth Imagery using QGIS?
Satellite images are available and can be collected from a variety of sources. The spatial resolution, temporal resolution, and so on of the satellite image vary depending on your needs. Before downloading the image, you must tailor your requirements list. The first question to consider is what I want to do with the image. Do I need the image just for the base map, or do I need it for advanced research analysis?
To download or save Google Map Satellite imagery in high resolution with QGIS, can be done with HCMGIS Plugin.

Good tutorial, thanks but my question is , what is the best method to download this high resolution for a district or state, you can not do it step by step like this

Agro-ecological zones are geographical areas that have similar climatic, soil and biophysical conditions that affect their agricultural potential¹. To create agro-ecological zones on ArcGIS, you need to have some spatial data that represent the different parameters that define the zones, such as rainfall, temperature, elevation, soil type, land cover, etc. You also need to have some criteria or rules to classify the zones based on these parameters. Here are some possible steps to create agro-ecological zones on ArcGIS using at least 5 different parameters: - Step 1: Obtain and prepare the spatial data for the parameters you want to use. You can find some data sources online or use your own data. Make sure the data are in the same projection, extent and resolution. You can use the Project Raster tool, the Clip tool and the Resample tool to adjust the data if needed. - Step 2: Perform some analysis on the data to derive some indicators that are relevant for agro-ecological zoning. For example, you can use the Zonal Statistics tool to calculate the mean annual rainfall and temperature for each administrative unit, or use the Raster Calculator tool to compute the aridity index or the length of growing period. - Step 3: Classify the data into categories based on some thresholds or ranges that reflect the agro-ecological conditions. For example, you can use the Reclassify tool to assign a value of 1 to 5 for each rainfall category, or use the Slice tool to divide the temperature data into equal intervals. - Step 4: Combine the classified data into a single raster layer that represents the agro-ecological zones. You can use the Raster Calculator tool to assign a unique code for each combination of categories. For example, if you have 5 parameters with 5 categories each, you can use an expression like this: ```python ("rainfall" * 10000) + ("temperature" * 1000) + ("elevation" * 100) + ("soil" * 10) + "landcover" ``` This will create a raster layer with values ranging from 11111 to 55555, where each digit corresponds to a category of a parameter. - Step 5: Convert the raster layer into a vector layer and add some labels and descriptions for each zone. You can use the Raster to Polygon tool to create a polygon layer from the raster layer, and use the Field Calculator tool to add a new field with some text values for each zone. For example, you can use a conditional statement like this: ```python def label(zone): if zone == 11111: return "Dry lowland with sandy soil and sparse vegetation" elif zone == 11112: return "Dry lowland with sandy soil and grassland" elif zone == 11113: return "Dry lowland with sandy soil and shrubland" # and so on for other zones ``` This will create a new field with labels for each zone based on their code.
