Thank you ma for this apt video. In a case where you dont have the person's shoulder. What do you do?? I work but when am less busy i sew from home to send to my mu m and twin sister.the thing is the measurement of the shoulder they send is somtimes bigger and somtimes smaller. Is there any way i can calculate the shoulder using the bust?? Please help ma. Thank you as i wait for your reply

bust circumference ÷ 8 +1 for example the bust circumference = 96 cm 96÷8+1=13 this is the shoulder length or you can divide the shoulders by 2 then by 3 for example the shoulder are 42cm 42 ÷2=21 21÷3=7 for the neck and 14 cm for the shoulder 1/3 of 21 =7 2/3 of 21 = 14

Is the bust pan the same as the bust point?

Bust span is the width measurement between the bust points. So you get the bust point by putting half the bust span width measurement on the bust level line.

Pls why is the back waist measurements used to determine the arm hole. Why not just measure around ma?

If I understand it correctly, it's actually the length (height) of your back from nape of neck to waist. Divided by half + the fraction of inch she mentions, measured from the waist up. When I calculated it with my own measurements, it's basically the same number as just measuring it, so I think it's a formula, and then you can maybe use the measurement to check it, to make sure it fits (as she mentions the fraction of inch you add may vary between people). You use that same length to draft the box at the beginning anyway, so that's probably why she uses the formula - and it's probably also helpful to have the formula if you don't have all the measurements.
