The back piece is supposed to be 2" wider than the front .its necessary. But if you don't want it that way, add the 2" at the broth and thigh line. Then slant it away as you draw your line to meet with the trouser length.

Yes . make use of the round knee measurement, divide it by 2 ,add about 1 inch to make it free. Then connect with your hip curve to shapen it . remember to use the same knee measurement at the ankle to get same result

When adding the extra 1 inch for the knee, make sure its at the side seam line.

Your crotch line or crotch depth comes after your hip line. To get this measurement accurately, sit on a wooden flat stool, place your measurement tape on your half length( waist) vertically and take your measurement down to the surface of the stool. Whatever you get is your crotch. 👍👌. So after marking your hipline (from waist to the widest part of your hip), Go ahead and mark your crotch. I'm some persons, the crotch line is usually 2" to 3 " away from the hip line when marked on a pattern. Hope this helps.

Since the jumpsuit is divided into two parts( top and pants) just know that to get your crotch line, you simply place your measuring tape from the waistline ( half length ) of the trouser part and mark whatever measurement you have as your crotch and rule it into a horizontal line.. If you are not sure what your crotch measurement is, go ahead and sit straight down on a solid flat surface , place your tape from your waist and take it down to the hard surface you are sitting on.

Yes .you'll need to do that so you wouldn't feel uncomfortable when you sit down.Do not add much, 1 inch is okay.
