Thank you for this analysis Charlotta. I am planning on making a tweed jacket next year and I need to draft the three piece sleeve. You have given me some insight into how they are drafted and shaped.

@@charlotta_patterncuttingschool I am still deciding on whether to interline it with silk organza. Two schools of thought on that one.

I just discovered that this sleeve can help with people with large biceps. With a large bicep width and a tall cap height, one ends up with way too much ease. The split upper sleeve allows one to reduce some of that ease. At least in theory. I'm trying it out now.

That’s quite true, it allows for three fitting lines instead of one!
