Please guy, it's easy to drap with no dart, how do you create the flat pattern to cut out the self fabric on? After Draping, you still need to create a flat pattern. You keep using Judy as if it's the same measurement for every woman. Create a larger measurement using your drap as a step.

I was curious to see your video about avoiding darts, and I have to say that your onscreen enthusiasm makes me suddenly wish I could study fashion design! I'd love to have a teacher like you! I think the most interesting part of seeing this video is the fact that I figured all this stuff out on my own. I actually had no idea that my methods were legitimate! I learned this before I learned darts because darts seemed like some kind of mathematical logic. The only thing I knew how to do was to sew like this without darts. o_O

This is great - thanks! It appears you're easing the "dart" into the side seam and along the armhole. I read your response to the question about possible utilizing this technique for larger busted models; why would you have to raise the depth of the neck line? Also, I'm curious to know if you modified the muslin (lining pattern piece) along the front seam to match the shell fabric (since the shell fabric was shifted approx 3/8" towards the side seam)? Thanks so much!

Ok I've been sewing a very long time but I have a bride that has thrown me for a small loop on her wedding dress. She want a deep plunging front and back for her bodice ...sleeveless and strapless... and no sweetheart neckline. The skirt will be very full tulle.... how can I have the bodice fully supported without exposing her......oh! She is very well endowed.?? I'm thinking i have to make a hidden corset to support her and the dress?? And I've thought about the nude power mesh too!
