I've been away and just finally got to watch it. Thank you, thank you, thank you Tree for posting this video. I love it. As a patternmaker with over 20 yrs experience, I have never seen this method. Can't wait to put it into practice. Thank you, once again

How amazing to be able to learn from such an expert. Thanks so much for sharing. It's very informative even if I'm nowhere near that level of dressmaking.

hello, love your videos so informative and interesting to watch! i have a question about the sleeve block. the line he draw horizontally from the grainline is there a proper measurement he used to draw that in or can it be placed anywhere?
@StitchlessTV3 жыл бұрын
He seemed to place it by eye. Thankyou
@zachariahfairfax90643 жыл бұрын
@@StitchlessTV thank you so much! in terms of the width of the block was that your bicep measurement length plus a cm or two for ease or by eye as well? Last question, why did he not use the center of the block to draw in the grain line? so full of questions, really love his draping approach. Thanks for getting back to me so quickly, can't wait to see what else you post! :)

How did he decide the finished bicep width? Is it the bicep width plus two inches?
@StitchlessTV5 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the delay....Yes, that's correct. Tree x

I love Shingo Sato! It's unfortunate that this takes two person, the model and one to drape, unless you have a body double dressform with arms.
@StitchlessTV6 жыл бұрын
Well.....The thing is for a simple sleeve you don't really. You can make the tube according to upper arm measurements, trace out under arm curve on dress or jacket and then drape on a stand.....Try it. I think it could be good for adding sleeves to sleeveless dress patterns. Tree x
