Thank you for the exercise. I have a question. Is the vanishing point always on the horizon line or it is free of horizon line?

Good question. The horizon line in linear one-point perspective is a line that represents the height of the eye of the viewer, when looking straight ahead. Therefore the vanishing point in one-point perspective will always be on the horizon line. Receding parallel lines that are on the same flat plane as the viewer will go towards the vanishing point. As the viewer changes their elevation, their horizon line will change, and the vanishing point will change too, but it will still be on the horizon line.
