I googled types of squirrels and I like the Siberian flying squirrel. If that doesn’t work out I’ll just draw a simple tree squirrel. I’m new to digital art and I’ve followed a couple of your tutorials and I love them! They’ve already taught me so much. Can’t wait to follow along to this one

Out of curiosity, why water drag rather than water blend? I get the purpose of drag for the fur effect, but for the areas that are more generally blended, is there a particular reason to choose one over the other? Also with the pencil brush vs thin intense watercolors brush; how do you decide which to use? (Using the thin watercolor for eyes/nose makes sense, I'm more curious about the other details, like the inner tufty bits of the ears, or the way the line under the nose changes from one to the other.) I know it's a personal preference thing Anyway we mostly get grey squirrels here but I'm likely to try an Abert’s squirrel, which is a grey squirrel with really fun tufted ears :)

How could we get the brush to sort of… drag the fur color in a shorter amount (say for a shorter hair animal like a pet rat)? I’m sure it’s a simple matter of just picking up your hand sooner, but I was really hoping to find a setting that would allow me to drag less color for other projects as well.
