Thank you fir the video Would you give the lists if materials that you used? Specially I don’t know what kind of pencil you used to creat the crack of nose texture. It’s hard to draw same technique as yours if we don’t know what kind of materials you used- those pencils. Maybe please show the pictures with name of pencils. Thank you!

This did absolutely help! I have always had a huge love for dog noses but they are so hard to capture both in shape and texture. Seeing the process helped very much, thank you. :) I realized where I go wrong, I lose confidence in the ugly stage and I didn't think of it until you mentioned that you have to push through it. I have to practice pushing myself. :)
@Leontinevanvliet8 жыл бұрын
aww that is great to hear! yes it's really about building the confidence to know that te drawing will get better after getting through the ugly stage. this drawing had a lot of ugly stages😂

Do you magnify the reference photo to replicate the details? As normally you cannot see these details of a dogs nose from a normal perspective.

This is very nice! Might I ask what setup you use for the camera in relation to the paper? I'm working on a graphite tutorial myself. It's quite hard to see on my first recording attempt. XP
@Leontinevanvliet8 жыл бұрын
in this one i worked flat on a table amd had my phone filming straight down. usually i work on my adjustable drawing table though so you don't get the annoying glareXD
@Pinegully18 жыл бұрын
Leontine van vliet Okay, thanks! I use an SLR on a tripod. I need to get an adjustable desk one day... That's likely the main issue. ^^
@red_54727 жыл бұрын
I have used a camera tripod with a board attached for top. This allows me to adjust from flat to angles when needed.

@SathishKumar-pw9fu8 жыл бұрын
Fabulous illustration..your title says graphite drawing By the way polychromos is not graphite:-)my title to your drawing is dog's nose in Monochrome....:-)just joking ..keep it up
@Leontinevanvliet8 жыл бұрын
that's why i put in the description 'graphite and a black colored pencil'. i thought that would be too long to put in the title:p
@SathishKumar-pw9fu8 жыл бұрын
By the way absolutely no need for graphite at all in this drawing except outline.. Even for that too you could have use polychromos.. Since it's well erasable..
@Leontinevanvliet8 жыл бұрын
+Sathish Kumar yeah that's possible. i've done drawings with only the black one. but as graphite is a bit better with blending i thought for the first layers it would be best to use graphite:)
@SathishKumar-pw9fu8 жыл бұрын
Why I'm saying is polychromos is oil based with no shine graphite had little bit shine except staedtler Mars lumograph 8b or Wolff's carbon
@Leontinevanvliet8 жыл бұрын
