I couldn't get the same results they were getting. Then I watched yours and you make it look so obvious and simple. The thinner papers are just as good really! I always opted for a thicker paper as I'm clumsy and end up damaging the paper by bending it 😂

I’m not too sure sorry! I only have a small handful of Derwent pencils so I don’t know the shade range very well. Maybe there are some charts online that you could use to compare the colours?

Thank you! I used Fabriano Artistico hot pressed watercolour paper for this but I don’t use it anymore as the manufacturing is different now and it’s no longer smooth 😞 I use Arches hot pressed watercolour paper instead now!

@@shannonmullin I found out that the paper is a major component to reaching the quality of my rendering. I also found out that charcoal lighter fluid is an excellent blending agent.
