This tutorial will show you how to draw a sweater sketch and create knit fabric texture in Illustrator. I did a video recently about mohair: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e3rLdKOLmt-ZndU Probably the easiest thing, especially for a sweater, is to make a fuzzy brush or use the roughen filter. If you're flat sketching, you want enough detail to indicate the texture but the sketch should still be clean enough for you to see your design details. And depending on where the sketch ends up, you may lose a lot of the lovely, fuzzy texture you create for your mohair anyway.
