Hi everyone! Here's my drawing of a Wing! I think this concept of a wing could be attached to a bird or an angel. I really hope it helps out. Jaimee Rudick all you need is a hb standard pencil and hold it close to the tip for heavy darks and rite back for reply light shading nothing fancy needed just pressure

this is an extremly helpful video. I have learned resently that useing your finger for shading causes oil from your hand to get on to the paper, and over time the oil does ruin the drawing.I have had trouble drawing wings, Which is irritating because i usaly wanna draw alot of things with wings. go figure. thank you for all the tips and advice. This is realy going to help me out.

+ELitE GOD Hey! I completely understand the struggle with smudging haha. :) I usually just use a small piece of paper under my hand. I still get some smudging, but I clean up the drawing afterwards with an eraser.

Well done on your feathers. Was wondering If you have a video or process you can suggest for drawing bird feathers on small bird drawings. I want to draw song birds and do not know how to render the fluffy feathers they have and some of the more textured feathers like on a BlueJay. Song birds during the winter fluff their feathers and Im having a hard time rendering them to look realistic. Thanks, Jack

If you haven't got one of those smudgers ripping a paper into a small square then rolling it up, and using the ripped end works really well.
