Your book is INCREDIBLE!!! I will be learning SO much from it. I think it will be smudged to death and paper clipped and marked up with highlighters and it'll have those little tabs sticking out everywhere with sticky notes with note I've taken from videos ugh!!! I'm exhausted just typing about it! But THIS is my kryptonite. I haven't started because I escape into videos and need to just do it already. Thank you for such an amazing tool! I will probably be adding your mixed media book as well and I have to look again at your katrillion and twenty six books you have written to see what I need....WHEN I can afford it. That has been the worst problem. I keep buying everything. I have all the supplies and none of the projects startes...well one I finished.

I have never drawn anything in my life really (besides horses because I had horses growing up). I have been watching your videos and everyone else's and have been swept up into this world because I needed something I could do as a housebound disabled chick when I'm actually awake (I also have narcolepsy so seeing the texts I've sent people I can only imagine what amazing drawings I will ruin once I learn this stuff. Luckily I was coming on here to say that I bought your book before I knew it was you who wrote it and it is A-MAZ-ING!!!! I saw the scribble style and I LOVE that!!! Which is probably a good thing because that is one FORGIVING style for THIS narcoleptic! I've been flipping through and checking it all out stopping to read stuff. But am now about to begin the tutorials because I just did my first mixed media piece and it turned out way betterthan I could have ever dreamed and that was just by watching all these videos and taking it all in. So get ready! There's a new artist in town! (And don't say I'm not, Amazon would disagree in a very substantial way!)

Wonderful Karen! Congrats!🙌💕🎨Ordering your book now (got all your books-they’re beautiful); I totally agree with you, one person can have a multitude of “styles” - which I call, “ways of expressions,” -and render them accordingly with their mood, feelings, etc. I love to do whimsical, scribbly, sketchy, geometric, abstract, semi-realistic, and of course as a fashion designer - a fashion illustration - and ANYTHING in between!😄 I remember, in four years of fashion illustration we had to do them all, and some; like for kids line we tended to use very whimsical, wonky styles - because that’s what connected with that particular kind of consumer; always a pleasure to look at your books and of course your videos. (Apart from working on several projects and taking a class, “Layered Page,” I’m refreshing my anatomy, lighting, proportion study, and my all time fav - being super sarcastic here 🙈- perspective! Talking about pain 😂 - but as you know these are the components we work with; plus color scheme, textures, and of course composition); and let us never forget: Art History - which actually I love. Thank You for all your time and effort spent on making drawing more fun, more accessible, and open lots of new ways of expression for many artists. Very Cool! 💖

Oh no!! $10 for one? Are they not available by the dozen where you are?? I know here they are $4 for one so I just buy them in packs. You can try Etsy too! I'm sure there are other re-sellers out there! And check the Amazon in your country too! I'm sooooo art book obsessed, I'm sorry but also not sorry! I just love collected them AND creating them both! lol!!! From one collector to another, I have the same problem :)

Hi Karen. Received the new book. Already started on one of the projects. Wondering what types of papers you recommend as I don't see info in the book. Especially for the markers. What do you find that works best for the different mediums?

Markers work best on Bristol or Cardstock! I think I mention that briefly, at the very end, in the paper section. Any medium having to do with water needs watercolor paper! That's about it!!

Karen Campbell, Artist - you are soo worthy of praise as a really, really good teacher. I am not good in structured classes with more polished students racing to create a project in 2-3 hours. Absolutely love having your classes online to do at my pleasure and when I’m able to steal a couple of hours. John and I were sitting in family room a couple of days ago. He said, “When was the last time you did art?” I said I just couldn’t seem to get back to it”. As you know I had started the 100 faces and set up my work at dining room table but then we started having lots of medical appointments, landscapers here (just hired to help me), cleaning people. So I dumped all my art in the guest bedroom on a card table. 😖 He said he wanted me to promise him I would do art every day for 2 hours or at least 3 days a week. So I promised him I would set aside that time. I started your new book two days ago. Read several lessons ahead. This morning i cracked a new sketchbook for the exercises. Don’t want to mix with the 100 faces book. I feel so blessed to have found you on you tube. Love you and your precious family. They are the cutest kids. Love their personalities. Thanks for sharing your passion of art. Truly thankful so keep up the creating those excellent ART BIBLES 😍
