Hey Mark! Loved your simple anatomy breakdown. Can you make a tutorial on how to understand and apply shadow shapes over the anatomy. Basically how do you understand which are the areas you black out and the shapes of it. There are very few tutorials available for this on youtube and most of them are difficult to understand.

This actually helped me a TON more than any other tutorial out there! Obviously, there are also some good tutorials on youtube about anatomy, but THIS one was the one that genuinely helped me so much. After I started using your method, I started to get better at drawing figures. I still have difficulty in poses and trying to make my drawings not look static, but I can draw anatomy with more ease now than ever before! I have never felt so happy in my life, this was the tutorial I have been finding ever since I started drawing!

Really appreciate the videos DD Mark you’re videos have really helped me learn some of the things that I didn’t know , I was wondering g if you could do a video on line art, I struggle making the line art look as good as the sketch which seems to be something that you accel at your line art is smooth but still has the dynamic feel of your quick sketch’s if you could make a video it would be very much appricqted because there aren’t that many good videos on it on KZbin and I know a lot of people would like to know

Hope you feeling better bro. Cause I feel you. I wanna make my own comics and music. But work and life is getting in the way. It's getting super hard to balance it all.. I refuse to let it stop me tho. For personal reasons. Sometimes we have to put things to aside to do what we really love. Cause you only get one life bro. Do whatever really makes you happy. Happiness is the most important thing in our lives we can't lose it. Cause you lose yourself.

I feel ya on tutorials not working. 90% of them don't or they stop working for what I envision. In my case, I can't simply throw out the shapes then sketch over them the way I want to, I have to do it my way from the get go. My favorite is when my face sucks, I don't care if I made an epic scene/body, if head/face sucks, I scrap it XD

Tutorial: How to get better at anything. PRACTICE ;) No matter what it is you are learning to do, when you start the process, you will definitely suck at it. It is great to have someone to guide you through the process and give you support and encouragement, but if you are determined to learn and get better, you will even without a teacher/guide. You are right, there is stuff you should fully grasp before you even pick up a pen, pencil, brush or other drawing tool. Most people see someone like you, draw stuff and it looks so easy, and that is because you have done it so many times (practiced). I want to draw masterfully from the get-go, but that is totally not possible. Plan to suck for a long time, and just keep practicing. Eventually, you will get there.
@Manonthemoonhasleft Жыл бұрын
As much as this is true, just telling people to practice is never helpful without going into more detail! it’s quite often more frustrating to hear than helpful

you need to look at the work (the manga) you like the most and then copy the way they do it. eventually you'll take what you copied from them and it'll become your own unique way of doing it! hope that helps!
