I have just found your channel, and I’m loving your videos 😊 I’m 52, live in South Australia and have decided to spend my mornings getting back to my first love, art, and your videos are really helping me remember the skills I once used ❤️ thank you 🥰

I had never heard of line of action. I want to be able to go out and sketch in a cafe but fear gets in the way, but maybe practicing with, line of action will help. Also learning something new thank you ❤

I tried the Line of Action website, and this is exactly what I've been looking for! Last year I started painting portraits, but I realize now that I spent too much time trying to get finished paintings and too little time just practicing. When I practice clarinet it's natural for me to practice scales, and to work on a few bars for hours. Rarely do I play a whole piece from start to finish. I want to approach drawing like that too. Just draw, draw, draw. Practice! And then, from time, to time, make a finished piece. Thank you very much for these tips.

You’re most welcome! And, wow, you play the clarinet!

I would love to see you do a whole drawing and explain negative space throughout the process. I struggle with the concept, and you explain things beautifully.❤

That’s an idea! I will try to put something together, but it has helped me immensely because without this method, I tend to keep drawing the same kind of face due to “muscle memory “ and that is something I really wanted to step away from.

I think 10 mins a day is doable. I’d like to do 14 days all of us using the same reference for the same time limit and then I’ll tell you when to switch to the next one. Images will be sent before hand by me.

I used to love drawing, now it scares me a little - I’m “rusty” and more critical. I want to get the joy back! Thank you for the tips and the encouragement.
