Dearest Fiona, I stumbled across your video quite by accident. Your first opening statements expressed my over five year experience with watercolors Portraits . -I started in 2019. and I always end up with the look of overdone and over worked and never loose and expressive and Always too Controlled. -But I’ve learned several techniques on water color painting ,the use of good quality paper, and expensive quality, paints . But never really getting the outcome that I desired. It’s as if you took my experience and made this video. I’m so very excited to have found you. THANK YOU!!! Hello! It’s Winsor and Newton hot pressed. It has a bit more texture than really flat hot pressed papers. I actually love it . I hope this helps and thank you for watching my video 💕

I try to use natural light as much as I can. That’s not always possible in the winter, so I have several clip lights attached to my desk. I don’t like seeing their reflection in the watery paint in my videos, but I can’t always avoid it ☺️
