there is a kind of "adult" cuteness I find very interesting because it is a reversal of this pattern... tiny eyes and big nose, like Lotso from Toy Story or We Bare Bears

Hi Aaron, as a illustrator myself, and being in the cute area for a while now.. i have the feeling that i am loosing a bit my edge now i draw less and less and do much more matte painting and image manipulation. I think i am going for your full curse to spice my brains up again! Did u never had a dip somewhere in your career?

Hey Aaron, your lessons have been real blessing for me right from the fundamentals of animation to the small tidbit videos we see on youtube. One thing I am currently looking out for is an Animal anatomy course. Can you make a animal anatomy course. I'd be super interested in a course like that. Thanks!!
@AaronBlaiseArt8 жыл бұрын
I currently have a How To Draw Big Cats course on my site which covers anatomy. It's part of a larger section that will cover how to draw various animals. It will be ongoing for years to come. Next I'll be adding How to Draw Dogs which will include domestic dogs, wolves, coyotes, and foxes. Also How to draw Horses, How to draw Bears which will include Grizzlies, Black, and Polar Bears, How to Draw Birds of Prey, How to draw Water Birds etc, etc. I eventually would like to have a whole library of animal subjects to choose from.

I mean... chibi means small person not cute, chibi is usually big head and small everything else, usually people say the body is like 8 heads, for a chibi usually its 1 big big and the body and legs are the same size as one head.

Aaron, Do you ever use photo references when drawing? What do you recommend students do?
@illustratornamedkasper2 жыл бұрын
Hi there! I'd recommend to study the real thing as often as you can (even though it's harder!). You get so much more life into your drawings, as studying the real thing gives you depth, perspective movement - in contrast, a photo is flat and still. That being said, I still use a photo reference once in a while =)

OMGS! Long ago I lost a job as an illustrator because I couldn't draw CUTE! I drew what I thought was a cute kitten playing with a ball, but now I realize it was realistic, not cute and stylized! Thanks for explaining this! Now I'm wondering, if I take this course, will all the coloring be on computer. I am just wanting to design characters for myself and friends at this point in my life, and don't want to do it on computer. Do you think this course would help me? Thanks for sharing this! ♥
