I don't get how to establish the location of the first bottom left pencil point on the lower horizontal line.

Make it something that is easy to divide, for example if you need 10 windows, make it ten or 20 centimetres/inches long. While he didn't mention it, you can actually draw in that line the whole wall with all its vertical details, windows, their divisions, columns between them, drainpipes and whatever. It's easy to do it in frontview and with that vanishing point they all turn into their right places in perspective. His first technique makes you guess how many divisions you will get so it's actually useful only with telephone poles and such. With the second you can make the number anything you want it to be, but it is somewhat complicated and it needs space. Here's a little simpler way to get the wanted number if you are willing to just eyeball all the additional details: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJSwpZqeiqqjlc0

Eye Level and Horison Line is the same in 1 and 2 point perspective, but is not in 3 point perspective. In 2 point perspective "Station Point" determines where it will be vanishing point, and this is at 90 degrees, "Cone of vision" is on 60 degrees where we put our Picture Plane to avoid distortion.

great video, thanks for sharing, my question is.. how in the first place, did you decide the length of the horizontal line where you divided by the number of windows?? i hope you got my point..

thanks this is good timing as I needed to do a road with a bunch of light posts in perspective and was just trying to "eye it". Can you tell me do I need that middle vanishing point to be in the center or does it matter. Thanks

You messed up the second time. You would STILL need to find the center of the 🎁 box. (Like the first method) Find the entire center. That's where your third perspective point goes

I see how it's done geometrically, but I'd like to know the math behind it.
