Not only is the information useful, but the presentation of it is very good. looking at your pixel art in all of the scenes is very satisfying

ty :D it took a long time but it was worth it >:] I feel like even though it takes an eternity making it look nice and silly helps to make it stick more in your brain, like watching the magic schoolbus to learn about the lymphatic system or something

that was a fantastic video, honestly its hard too learn all these things since they are usually not put together in most tutorials and thats what makes this episode so good as youve laid that ground works and have explained them coexisting which makes it more enjoying and easier too understand, i have alot of trouble trying too do them all together since i forget one thing or the other so it doesnt pop as much as i wish it too. thx again for such an amazing video, im looking forward too the next you post!!!

@@Thyflooder right now I'm just trying to get the first tutorials to be based on JUST the bare bare basics to make it much easier to understand what the later things I do are going to be based off of, I agree its usually super tricky to get ones that focus on a lot of the basic things that people might need to learn :D

@@artmanoil exactly thats why this video is such a banger cuase it was handled soo well and was super engaging with its flashy and amazing looking animation/art which just makes it ten times more wanting too watch more and more!!!!

This coloring technique reminds me a lot of when Game Boy Color came out. Layers were colorized with simple pallets to convert all the old greyscale games.
@artmanoilАй бұрын
its very useful! in newer games you can do something called colour cycling with it too, which is sorta the same principle but works off of it, its sorta a tiny tidbit of random game stuff thats incredibly interesting to research :D

Solid tips. I REALLY like your color choices; everything looks a little epic. I need to start playing around with hue shifting into different colors; I always shift towards blue, but that shift from orange to green was beautiful.

Came also amazingly well timed. The protagonist of my current game project is represented by nothing more than an arrow right now. I have no doubt you would manage to even squeeze some expressions out of its basic shapes, but I would prefer it to rather lean towards the 4 general human shape directions of the top-down continuum that is so well beloved since decades. :) Great suggestion to fire up the neglected Blender on my machine, btw!
@artmanoil5 ай бұрын
@@clapostrophy Oh yea you can get a bunch of expressions done in tiny shapes, for work I have to do a bunch of lil 8 directional sprites (diff project not cyber strike) but even in 16 x 16 you can get ALOT done in a tiny amount of pixel count its really nice also absolutely blender is like, really fun to learn. Ive been mixing it with my pixelart a lot and its very fun

@artmanoilАй бұрын
I was thinking about it but ultimately im probably not going to make a 3d video until im around finished covering the main meat and potatoes of pixelart, alot of stuff like animations and more in depth colours and proper clustering are vital to the whole learning pixelart thing i feel so ill probably do those THEN move onto the fancy schmantzy stuff
