The quality of the videos gradually improved. I really liked the editing in this one.

I like watching these even when it’s not for the purpose of learning. Your process of studying and connecting the dots as you obtain new info is really satisfying!

One additional thing to keep in mind is when you’re drawing details inside the eye, you should be thinking about the iris as a concave disc! Even for super simplified eye styles keeping this in mind lets you do shading that won’t look super out of place with the rest of the shadows in your drawing

The editing, especially on the intro, is INCREDIBLE on this one.

6:00 That's a common way to do eyelashes in 3D modeling. They're a solid plane sticking out from the eyelid that has a mostly blank texture with some lines drawn in.

This is really funny to watch considering this is the EXACT same journey i went through when learning how to draw eyes about a year ago. Im still not great at them now but its good to know I'm the only one. The one thing im most about embarrassed when i was learning is the fact i needed to actually note to myself "eyelashes are not eyebrows"

Thank you so much Mother Pikat, this video helped so much especially the eyelashes part since I relate a lot with making it look like eyeliner and not a 3d form, and I love the idea of making the shadow of the eyelashes on the eye so I hope I can try it out, I have recently been drawing the waterline since it helps with the shape from other angles. Also love the new editing style!!

From the other side of the coin, it also feels a bit weird trying to learn how to draw anime eyes when you're used to realism.

Whoa quality and graphic design went way up. I find the same thing where I learn the anatomy of the eye, but that form curving around the head and the eyes having their own perspective and form when curving stumps me often. Especially when you have different eye types it gets confusing as hell.
