I think this is where I get the eraser technique from--- when you draw rough drawings in Photoshop, it's common to turn the opacity of the rough layer down to like 20% (creating a ghost image) then you make another layer on top of it and add your black line. So the technique with the kneaded eraser does the same thing.

definitely. In high school, I only drew characters front view and ALL of my characters looked like that Da Vinci drawing of the guy with arms and legs out. It wasn't until college that I started to learn perspective in drawing. I could have learned earlier but there was no one to teach me.

for me, I thought it would be easier to see the ink if I erased most of the pencil. If I were doing this for a manga, I might consider doing the rough in blue or colored pencil. Then I wouldn't erase that. I would just draw on top of the blue and like you did, erase afterwards. I'm still trying to find out what works best. I guess everyone has their own method :)

You and Mark Crilley are my heros. Crilley's videos are clear and helpful, but I don't think I'm looking for quite his drawing style. His is more in-depth and harder than some drawing videos, such as yours. Yours are VERY simple, but it comes out looking great! THAT'S the way I want to draw. ;)

Have you ever though of using action lines (like those on manga). I find them to be very effective in many situations. It's enough to even add some small lines on the arm itself and you would feel the action a lot more. Even though it as end sequence some lines could be added. Anyways good perspective and everything though the right arm looks a bit short. It may be your style but I would either make it a bit smaller or move it in a different position.
