Thanks everyone, sorry for the late upload :) This week, I'm going to practice drawing simple forms, trying different ones and get warmed up! I'll post them on Instagram. If you feel like doing the same, join in!

Thx for making a part series instead of a 30 mins vid cuz this rly saves my time a lot and its more easier understand by explaining one by one instead of giving the whole. Hope I can learn a lot from ur tutorials

Now that I am in Art School, its always nice to come back and have practice on forms and shapes. Thank you for returning and making time in ur life to make these videos we all appreciate you!

Welcome back! 😀 - I've been having serious creative block the last month and I'm super stressed about it since I need to have digital drawings as part of a portfolio for a creative arts course. I'm absolutely rubbish with using my drawing tablet to the extent it's almost paralyzing so these look like a great warmup exercise to get back into it!
@koizu5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Meta4z! Have fun with it! Ursula K. Le Guin is a famous american novelist who wrote the Tales of Earthsea series. In her book about writing, she talked about getting warmed up by writing free form, listening to how words sound and having a playful spirit about it. I always remember what she said when I'm trying to get unstuck-- not thinking of any pressure, just enjoying making lines, shapes, and forms-- feeling the joy in it. I'm sure you will find your stride!

I just found your channel... and it really is helpful in many ways. The way you spoke and explained things in a very simple way yet with depth... very insightful. I can't believe myself when i started grabbing my art tools to follow your order here... i found it fun. Well, I know things would get harder as the time I move forward, honing my skills. But seriously, thank you. It feels like I found light in my darkness.

Are the perspective lines/coloring and shading the only way to give the form more dimension?
@koizu4 жыл бұрын
Hi Bendy, those are the usual ways to get more dimension. I'm trying to think of if there's any other simple ways. You can draw with just using lines (for example, with clothing) and the way you draw them can show dimension.
