Hi Matthew. Thanks for a great question. To answer your question you have to read carefully the instructions of the PAT or Exam Question. For example. If it states: "The floor area should not exceed..." it excludes the walls. If it states: "The entire building..." it includes the walls. Hope that helps. Blessings

Is it best to send phase 1 and 2 in separately or wait till I've finished the whole thing?

Hi Victor, thank you for the question. According to the official schedule, Phase 1 must be submitted by 5 April and Phase 2 on or before 19 July. Your teacher should direct you, but these dates are compulsory for submission of the various phases. Final Submission of the complete PAT is 5 August.

Hi Sir! For my freehand drawings, must I make a proper title block or can it just be my name, the drawing name and the date it was drawn??

Hi Danika, thanks for the comment. As per the PAT you only need a full Civil Title Block on your 1st Working Drawing (Scaled Floor Plan). I would suggest for neatness that you still do a border on each page. You need to also indicate on each page and every page of your PAT, at least the following: Your Name and Surname, Page/Drawing Title, Page Number, Date of Completion. All the best.

Hi Tom, you need two Freehand Concepts and a Selection Process of the best solution in Phase 1. Phase 2 is the working drawings.
