Is this method constructing a graph that is accurate to the point by point values; or is this a construction displaying an ellipse that is only approximate to the graph?

An ellipse has zero circular arcs so whatever he's drawing here isn't an ellipse.

@@demelekel3571 A circle is also an ellipse, so the other comment can't be right. That being said, this is just an approximation, and the closer the minor/major axis ratio is to 1(circle), the smaller the error. The error is mostly where the arcs connect.

You are right, this is definitively not an ellipse, it's an oval.

@@steffenganschow6151 It's not an oval either. For it to be an oval, it would need one of the sides to be thicker than the other (e.g. like an egg). This is an approximation of an ellipse.

If you want to bisect a line into two halves, then you need to adjust the compass length to more than half the length of that line which you want to bisect...

More than half can mean any number that is higher than half. Therefore you are not clear. We work with accuracy
