【How To Draw Furries】 Head Tutorial

Hopefully this was helpful to some of you out there ^w^ I wanted to make a furry tutorial to help beginners starting out .
(This is my 1st time doing a voice recording so im very nervous and awkward about it so plz bare with me)

little tip. dont use mirror when highlighting eyes, make sure to put highlights on the same side of the eyeball, even mirrored eyes can look weird if positioned poorly making your character look crosseyed

Don't get me wrong I am all for learning on your own. Only to get an idea to allow your own models and style you need a starting reference. Whether it be from a live animal or a basic skeleton. I feel most don't make how to draw furry art for a few reasons but the main two being, fear of the hater or that they will losing some business.

I see it thus way, no mater what your content ,long as you feel your comfortable with it, you can share it . Especially if its something you like ^^

I don't know if you have seen my videos but I always rant about art in some form. My thing is I can't stand furry cringe. Especially when people try to dictate or say a drawing is wrong. Art is art, unenlightened idiots shame a drawing at face value and it makes me sick. I am not for some things but I can at least show respect by saying something is drawn well even if I don't like the content. We live in a society of right and wrong being opinion set by majority. I am thrilled we get more accepting each year but I still see a lot of hate towards "Drawings" of all things. A drawing can't physically hurt anyone but to be offended is a personal problem. I fear a lot of artist suppress what they truly like in fear of the hate. It's sad because drawing art is the one place we should have freedom no matter what our politics or beliefs are. I draw what I draw because if people don't like it, then they don't have to look. if they comment hate then clearly it wasn't that bad because they stayed on that long to complain. In my opinion I have seen worse than a drawing of a furry. You have to have lived a very good life to feel that a furry drawing is the most disgusting thing you have witnessed.

This was such a cool tutorial and while I already have a general idea of how to draw as I've been doing it for so long, I think it's always great to see how others go about drawing as you can learn some new techniques you never thought of. The good thing about this tutorial is that you went slow in showcasing your process as opposed to speeding through so that is very much appreciated. Only downside for me with tutorials is that most of them these days are about digital sketching and I never could get used to drawing digitally, only inking and coloring lol But still, this was very informative stuff, awesome video ^_^

If anyone is having a bit of trouble because they do not have a pc and tablet, but do have a pen and paper, lemme give you a few tips. -Draw structure lines! I use around 4 to completely cover the face. one for eyebrows, the top of the eyes, the bottom of the eyes and the nose. I usually don't use one for the mouth, as depending on what shape and type of mouth you draw, it can change drastically. -When working on eye symmetry, use a lighter piece of paper (copy paper works, but onion skin paper is the best for this) and trace over it. then, flip the piece of paper over so it is "mirrored." You then can reference that, or using a pen, make the indents for the shape into your paper by lining up where the eye should go and pressing down on the copy paper. -Don't be afraid to erase! Self-explanatory. -You don't have to totally go by what is in the video! Hell, try not to! It will help you develop your own way of doing things and not just somebody else's. And with that, I wish everyone happy arting.
