its amazing how much more enjoyable drawing is when you have good, easy to follow instruction. Took art class in school in early 2000 and didn't enjoy draw any where near as much or progress any where near as quickly. KZbin content creators like this do so much good for people.

I've been looking for a good tutorial on drawing irises with colored pencils. This is the first I've found that has helped me improve. I don't like supposed tutorials that time lapse with no instructions. Those are useless to me. Ty for not doing that. This tutorial is awesome. I realize this is a few years old but ty so much!

Oh, you have helped me so much. I’m going to watch this another time and on the third time I’ll work along with you. If you do portraits , do you include eyes with such detail. It seems to me that working on a small scale in a portrait would be impossible. You would not have sharp enough points.

I'm sensitive to solvents and they give me a headache. I was amazed at how smooth and vibrant your colors are without any use of blending solvents. Is it the type of paper you use? This video is amazingly detailed and I will be using it to help me start trying to make eyes. However, I do wish you had discussed paper... as it is a very important material to consider. Currently I am trying to better my colored pencil skills.... and paper is the challenge for me. Textured paper is what I need to master with colored pencils. I feel like trying to do an eye on my heavily textured paper would be difficult with all of the fine strokes. Any tips for doing this on textured paper?
