No way, Yeej Chan is one of my favorite artists! I've tried to study her style before, but it's way too advanced for me, especially the rendering. I especially like how she does her eyes, they're so pretty! And you attempt at her style is gorgeous!! You're an expect at capturing the artist's essence!

Some artists I would think youd study: Yana Toboso(creator of twisted wonderland), Ichika(famous vocaloid illustrator), one of the artists behind the story of evil gero pvs (dont know their name but the styles are pretty and painterly. Definitely helped me start to make warmer looking characters.) I love all these artists and their art is intricate in my eyes. Im partly biased though since ive followed most of these artists for 2 years now.

I love her art! She was my inspiration on getting my skill better, I studied her color hard! Now when I can create my own art I admire, I'm still waiting to see more of her fantastic works and speedpaints! Good analysis, great video, hope you had fun studying her style!

For the shading, I think you should try to put the whole character in shadow then blocking the lights.
