RapidFireArt I want to thank u from the bottom of my heart. All my life (I'm 46) I've been trying to draw. When my boy was little, we used to draw together & my pokemon always came out looking worse than his. After many many attempts, I was convinced I would never b able to make art. Well, I gave it 1 more shot & found ur hyper realistic eye then then tried my hand at ur nose tutorial. I totally SHOCKED myself! 😲😲😲 I guess I draw best with realism. My bestie has been a sketch artist for years & even she was wide eyed at how good my nose & then lips turned out. I guess with the rite style, I'm pretty dang good & I have u to thank for that. Ur tutorials make it seem simple. Now I have a whole new world to discover & I notice that I'm looking at everything around me differently. I look at shadows, structures, how light falls etc in a whole different way. It's fascinating! Thank u so much for this new world u have opened to me! 😄 Oh, I didn't do as well on these curls tho...I'm hoping getting the rite paper will help n the future.

I'd rather not use my finger, tissue, maybe but when you use your finger, it has lots of natural oils on it, and your drawing will turn brownish yellow over time due to the oils being on the paper. I guess I gave you a little tip Haha.

This is amazing! As a self-taught artist who is starting up my own art business working with acrylic paints and prismacolor colored pencils sometimes it can be a challenge to draw realistic people and hair especially. I'm currently working on a new portrait of a boy with these lovely curls and you really helped give me more of an idea on how to accomplish that with your techniques using just pencil. You also inspired me as a new youtuber to start posting more art videos so thanks for sharing! I just subscribed!

I just wanted to say that another way to blend that I use the most is to use you finger or hand. Most artist drawing with graphite avoid smudging their art with their arm or hand but I've actually found this to be quite useful if you don't have... high quality art supplies (which I don't). This method may not be flawless but it does work. All you have to do is rub your finger over what you want to "blend" and lightly use your pencil to add in more graphite as needed...
