Quick Advice: if the markers are dried out, just get some hand sanitiser or an alcohol based liquid and dip your good old markers in it for a few seconds. Once them bad boys are dipped, close them and wait for 5 seconds or so, then bammm you got good as new markers. They will act as a good 'run flat' markers until you get new markers and usually they should be around for about 4 days.

I love your work. I’ve been trying to think of a manga idea and have been drawing concepts since September and have been struggling to find something I found cool but not generic (Since I like shonen manga), and I’ve tried my best observing different personalities in movies and animes to get a good gist of how to write good characters. Your videos have helped my exponentially, and my progress has sped up. Being black myself, seeing you pursue your dreams and succeed this much only makes me want to push even further.

I think less is more in this case, since now the cover looks too busy. With a background the same saturation as the characters. It doesn't pop out, it just blends together. Plus you're art is good enough to carry the whole cover, it doesn't need this many effects.

Agreed, if the background was blurred a bit and not so sharp the characters could at least stand out. Plus, convey the sense of movement by their actions

For beginners getting into Copics for the first time; Deleter Comic book Kent Paper --- Type BK a4 - 135 plain has been the best experience for me personally with Copics. Also please please please use COPIC MULTILINERS when inking with copics for anyone trying copics for the first time. Microns WILL bleed. Also when using a newly purchased copic marker make sure you use a scrap piece to make sure too much doesn't push out immediately. It can happen from time to time. cool cover.

What scanner can I use for 9.8" x 13.9"? Because all the ones I see are too expensive or too small for the comic paper I've got

@@phantom-X2086 sadly that’s one of the things you don’t want to cheap out on. I’d say go the traditional route until you can save for more quality of life features like a scanner. Just save and prep. For example if you just want to focus on line art until you can scan the picture in for coloring/details that would in the long term save you time. I wouldn’t worry too much. You’ll get everything you need if you stay focused and passionate about your endeavors:)

@@phantom-X2086 Also i wanted to add; if you want to make prints. There are a TON of third-party places that can do it for you in the meantime. Staples for example can do it for you, and you can put the prints on very high-quality paper. Just a heads up for the time being. Hope that helps.
