Paul you’re the best teacher I have ever had as a beginner. I have learned in few days 100% more than I did in college courses and in very expensive books. God bless you cause you r a huge inspiration for those(including myself) that felt frustrated. After watching many times your great tutorials I became optimistic and started to draw again. you are one in a million, and always will be my inspiration. thanks to you I will be a good artist as you are. You born to be a teacher. Great mission what you r doing. You r a heroe for many people. thanks for being so humble gifted artist. Iam tired and bored of those arrogants artists that dont want to share the tips for drawing or painting, just to confuse the viewers. Welcome to the world of those people that want to make a big difference in the world. You will be always in my prayers. beautiful videos. God bless you. Maria Farrell.

Hi Paul! Thank you for your response. Yes, for the first time I can actually draw trees that look like trees. Better yet, I can draw them quickly. BTW, should you ever have time, perhaps you could do a series of videos on drawing the different tree shapes: round, oval, columnar, pyramidal, open, spreading, irregular, and vase. Take good care. And, yes, I'll be delighted to recommend your channel to others.

I should try this method next time. I have had difficulties with trees. I am kinda bored to draw cups and bottles all the time (kinda afraid to move to other objects). Although my cups and bottles are much more better than 1 year before (no outlines but edges instead, reworked many old drawings). But I use several pencils usually from 1H to 9B and the smoothing tool (the white one that you rub on the painting to make it look smooth).

Why not go outside with a large sheet of paper, a big stick of graphite or charcoal and draw whatever is in front of you in 2 minutes. Don't fiddle and faff about draw quickly take a risk. Remember it's just a sheet of paper, there are lots more sheets to experiment with. Cheers Paul

Paul Priestley so It seems, great job at breaking down what you’re trying to teach, it’s amazing how often I’ll watch a tutorial on here and it’s just a speed drawing whilst they read from a generic script they’ve put together, it’s basically a "watch me draw this whilst I patronise you", I can see this is genuinely a passion, not only drawing but teaching too, good job 👏🏻👏🏻 happy to be a new subscriber
