Hey! I know this is an old tutorial but I just got your brushes and am struggling with the layered leaves. When we move on to making each layer have an outline (invert/feather/hue/saturation/brightness) the fade is very, very subtle in comparison to yours. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong as Ive tried several different inking brushes etc at this point 😅 do you have any suggestions?

I don’t even like succulents really, but your tutorial shows so many useful techniques, it's really good! Is it possible that my settings in Procreate are a bit different than yours? For example when I used feathering more than 4-5% the entire layer was ‘feathered’ especially on the top (smaller) layers . And the hue,saturation and brightness is the first in the dropdown menu.

This tutorial is quite old! I think we're up to 2 new versions of Procreate since, so things have changed for sure. As for the feathering, the amount required does vary based on the size of your canvas 😊

Hi Gen, this was such an amazing tutorial! I am just a little confused about why my succulent ended up with washed out looking outlines. As in, everything else looked fantastic but the actual seperate segments of succulent leaves ended up looking kind of blended together so it was hard to see each individual one. Yours looked so pronounced! Is it just my color choice for the "inking" part? Should I try it again with a darker color? Any tips?

Does The sheet have some kind of texture? And when I Fill with the colour it gets very solid, it doesn’t look like Watercolour. I have usted Watercolour paletas and brushes…

Hmmm... It's hard to say without seeing anything but my guess would be that maybe you have "Color Fill" activated in your selection tool? (Paint bucket icon on the bottom right of the selection tool menu) 🧐

Hi CJ! The salt brush itself doesn't have any color. Technically, it's more of a smudge tool. You can use it by dragging your pencil from a white or transparent surface onto your color :) Let me know if this helps!

Dear Genevieve, I am trying your tutoriols one by one but in this one, selecting and feathering and changing the hue, saturation and brightness didnt work out. I dont know why...
