I also loved the tan/camel outfit on you w/ the scarf & both coats as well. I preferred the camel coat w/ the outfit, as it seems to fit slightly narrower thru the hip, hit higher on the thigh & thus appears more streamlined. My favorite look, though, is definitely the grey & silver sweater. The neckline hits you in just the right place & the silver threads highlight your complexion. Together w/ the grey jeans, silver loafers & bone coloured handbag, the outfit complements you well.

So very helpful and encouraging! I wore monochrome to Thanksgiving yesterday. A tannish ensemble with 2 shades--a beautiful sweater and slacks with a lovely drape--both from Banana Republic. I did a tuck to add a bit of definition and wore pearls and beautiful goldish tan pointed flats. I got so many compliments--even from those who are stingy with compliments ! (Of course I wore a color that suits me after having had my colors done.) Thanks to your encouragement I am gonna put together an ivory ensemble for Christmas with a touch of bling.

Some good ideas for monochromatic outfits - not sure about the length of the skirts, however. Mid calf is a difficult length for most , so a little shorter would have made them look a little less "mumsy" (as we say in the UK!), but more modern. The red one would look a little better if the sweater was shorter - which would make the proportions better. Really liked all of the outfits with the pants.

I love the monochromatic dressing options. The red outfits were all so pretty. I also like metallic accessories for monochromatic looks. Instead of a shiny gold or silver, though, I look for more muted shades like bronze, pewter, or a pearlescent white/cream/taupe. They can be so versatile for many outfits - casual and dressier.

I have almost always worn monochromatic outfits. It's easier. People say it's boring, but I have always been complimented on how I dress. This was a great video to show it's simple to do. Nice detail, as always. Gotta say, the all tan outfit with the v-neck, and the all red pant outfit with the fitted cardigan were the most flattering on you. It makes it easy also to keep my colors to 3 neutrals (black,grey,denim) and 2 colors (green and plum). Minimal suits me best.

I love purple, but the undertones can be hard to wear together. I figured out years ago that if 2 purples don’t quite patch, add a third purple and they all blend.

I love these longer videos Kay. Monochromatic outfits always look so rich to me. When you changed the camel coat to gray wow what a difference. I like both looks but they gray made it more interesting. Wondering how you make the background fuzzy (like a picture in portrait mode) when you're doing your main video but the cutaways are crystal clear. Really nice.

I think the camel coat was perfectly matched with the camel look you put together, better than with the grey coat. The grey coat should be as long as the hem of your skirt or dress to look right. I tried to order the grey sweater from Evereve but it sold out. I did put my email address in to be notified if they restock so fingers crossed. Lastly you look beautiful in red ❤

I grew up going to a Catholic school through 8th grade with gray uniforms! Gray for 8 years. It was NOT my favorite color and I avoided it like the plague. Then I had my colors done and she recommended a very light silver gray. I saw a blouse that color and tried it on just to prove it looked awful. I bought the blouse because of what it did to my skin. Heathered grays, sweatshirt grays, and medium grays are blah, but very light grays and very dark grays are good. Have your colors done and your skin will glow.

🤓I've never done my colors, so to speak, but understanding my own biology certainly helped to get why I am attracted🧲 to some colors & repelled✋️ by others. It's the same thing w/silhouette shapes, my instincts seem to line up w/the needs of my extreme hourglass⏳️shape for the most part. 😘These natural factors speak to me of our intelligent design❤. Trinny Woodall helped me to figure out that I have a light neutral skin tone; medium blue eyes (that can sometimes look green); & also brown hair w/red highlights. I can wear some warm undertones near my countenance, but as Kay mentioned here, it does require slightly more dramatic make-up💄 to compensate for it. It's clear colors w/cool undertones that make my countenance ✨️shine✨️ best. Dirty/muddy/mottled shades don't suit me😖. When it comes to color intensity, I find that colors in the medium range ↔️ are most pleasing to my countenance. Black, navy, brown, white, gray, burgandy, khaki/olive green can all look wonderful on me👍. I can still do some lights (like blush pink, lavender, silvery gray, & chambray) & also some brights (like purple, fuschia, turqoise, & orange). Although some high intensity colors that fall under the "❄️Winter" category can be too much. Always felt slimmer & more elongated in continuous vertical color↕️. I've leaned matching monochromatic, but nowadays I am trying to be more tonal about it. Think that makes a slightly more dynamic look. 💚Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)

😊Beauty is in the eye of the beholder bcos I actually adore Kay in all grey〰️esp. w/the pops of silver metallic featured here. 🤔Always thought she looks lovely in this color. In fact, I like that she seems to be favoring it more & more lately! Gray is definitely a color I gravitated toward later in life. 🌫 Initially, I thought gray was gloomy (particularly in the light shades). Finally figured out that for me, it's a 🧊cool grey undertone next to my complexion that makes my features 💫 pop! While a grey w/a 🔥warm undertone will act like Dracula🧛‍♂️ & suck out the vibrancy in my countenance. As a result, a warm gray near my face requires a bolder lip💄 & darker make-up to counter balance⚖️ it. 🤍Loved Kay in the elegant camel ensemble too. That earthy shade is so very appealing to me😁, but it's one I use sparingly. For some reason, Classic Chic garments in camel🐪 tend to set-off my own dreaded 🚨 frump factor too🥺. 😘With that color, I need to add some "edge." The only beige tone in my closet is a pair of ankle cropped khaki wide leg cargo pants. It's one of the few places I break my preference for that ↕️ continuous column of color. Will wear it w/black combat boots, a black tank, a black sheer collared button up as a light shacket, & a small 🐆cheetah print scarf🐾 tied around my neck. I think pleated skirts are tricky on hourglass figures. I know they always add bulk on me where it isn't needed or wanted, but this outfit just had proportions that were off. Boots in the same grey as the skirt would have lengthened the leg line, and a top that was more fitted would have helped.

I preferred the slender red outfit from a few yrs back vs the oversized red sweater & checked pants. This is because the slender red outfit seemed to better enhance your youthfulness, w/ its balanced proportions. The current outfit might do the same, perhaps w/ a different cut of sweater, & a handbag where the drop hits higher at or above your waistline.

I absolutely appreciate your channel, but these skirts are not flattering. Please think about high boots with those long skirts. Also, the dark grey coat is too short. Please try a coat at same length as dress or skirt. The all red would look fabulous with black high boots and a black silk scarf or black bold necklace. . Happy Holidays.
