When to use the acceleration drive? 1. When you are going towards a defender that is 10m away or more from you 2. Or when you are getting away from a defender and there is no other defender in front of you less than 10m away! 1v1 Drive When defenders are closer than 10m away in front of you, you should use the 1v1 drive otherwise you may have not enough time to change direction kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKargqmjZd2Xj6c

FINALLY A PROPER EXPLANATION. Omggggg ! Ok so. It was the step 3 and 4 that really showed why this channel and specifically this video is superior to others out there. You explained where and when to place your feet and push the ball. Every video out there explains to push with the outside of the foot and to simply increase pace over time. But when i do it on the field i trip myself up (sometimes) after I accelerate super hard. And THE REASON …(thank you OP) is because I wasn’t spacing my foot properly when i was reaching for a tap. I was tapping at any opportunity the ball got too slow/close

Acceleration drive step 1 - use outside or top of foot to drive ball 1:20 step 2 - lean your torso forward 1:40 step 3 - touch ball each time as far away from your standing foot 1:50 step 4 - touch ball while extending the leg 2:14 note: touch the ball while extending your front leg far enough dont touch the ball under your hip or no control over the ball. step 5 - touch the ball as much as you can note: remember to touch ball far from your standing foot as much as possible step 6 - use your back foot to propel you forward 4:36 Summary 5:01 Deceleration drive 6:25 whenever defender is behind you or at beside you, decelerate then reaccelerate right after, this will enable you to dribble pass him. Momentum advantage and suprise steps: Method 1 : 8:45 - let ball roll - run to the side of ball Method 2 : 9:04 - lift chest up - touch ball as much as possible cushioning it - distance of standing foot and driving foot close to each other exercises: 11:35 slow mo 2 cones 10 metres apart Drill 1 : 10:22 5 sets 1 min rest drill 2 : 10:49 5 sets 1 min rest checklist when doing drill: - have you driven the ball with outside or top of foot ? - are you leaning forward - did you touch the ball as far from your standing foot - did you touch your ball while extending front leg - did you touch ball as mouch as possible - did you use standing foot to propel you forward

Could you please briefly explain any extra details to the acceleration drive. I have been trying to implement all the steps in the video but my technique doesn’t really feel right. I noticed that when you do it in the video, your strides on each touch are much smoother whereas there are slightly long pauses between each touch for me.
@beadribblr2 жыл бұрын
The fact that you can notice the difference is good. What you got to do is to record yourself sideways and see where you can improve. As far as for extra details, I don't have any other but keep in mind that it is an advanced technique and depending on how quick you learn it might take some time. So don't be in rush, be patient with yourself, make sure you're doing correctly and you will get there

very good video but i just have 2 questions, if you take longer strides than your usual stride when dribbling the ball, wont that make you slower? because your taking longer strides? and also, for the "keep the ball as far away from your standing foot as possible" part, at 1:59 there is also a line from you standing foot to your other foot, and under that line is a text that says "max distance by that do you also mean you should take longer strides when dribbling the ball as well?

Love the video i have a question when should i use this technique and can you please explain the touch the ball while extending your leg please 🙏
@beadribblr2 жыл бұрын
Glad you like it 🙂 You should use this only when you are going towards a defender that is 10m away or more from you or when you are getting away from a defender and there is no other defender in front of you less than 10m away! When defenders are closer than 10m away in front of you, you should use the 1v1 drive kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKargqmjZd2Xj6c Lastly, you can watch this video where I explain in detail what I mean by touching the ball while extending the leg kzbin.info/www/bejne/bH-YaHuha9pmhJI Let me know if other questions 😉

just a doubt if I want to cut to the middle of the field diagonally should I use the outside part of the foot and to go back forward I use the top part of the correct foot?
@beadribblr2 жыл бұрын
No to go back forward you will probably use the inside of your foot! You can only use the top of the foot when you in a straight line

You seen the basics of Messi's dribbling video ?
@sutters7251 Жыл бұрын
I disagree about the moment of impact in a shot the leg should be at full extension with just the hip flexor left to pull the whole leg through. The quad has done its job building up the maximum speed and the lower leg is extended at point of impact. This does not take away from your dribbling technique though and the video is great.

what do you think about deceleration and acceleration with the inside of your foot. You have more control over the ball if you use your inside of your foot
