Only comment I'd add from my experience of power sliding a FWD is - when you start sliding, don't lift your right foot off the pedal all the way - it will make it look like the car power slides into a stop, and then starts going straight again. But if you have the throttle going while you slide, it will look more like drifting an RWD. It will be a bit more tricky to control the nose of the car, you need a bit of reverse locking of the steering too. If the front wheels are spinning while you are sliding, it gives that drift feel.

Awesome! Detailed explanation ! I don't intend to try drifting wih my car but wanted to try out on Forza car simulator game to start with. Once l get hold of all the ingredients and put them together to get a drift without banging on a game track,l might get myself to try out on real cars and real tracks. I do have a Go Cart track very close to my place. A lot of theory goes into completing a drift and hopefully l get everything into my subconscious mind to complete a drift successfully in the coming days. Thanks a lot for sharing this wonderful video !🙂

Gosh! This was amazing. I have a 2nd Gen Honda City dolphin model. FWD. Do you think we could do such drifts in FWD sedans given they are a big longer than hatchbacks and hence have a different CoG? Also, I find the handbrake to be a lighter side where it doesn’t look like it would lock the rear wheels. Sure, that meant, as you noted in the video, I’ll have to use the brake pedal as well. Amazing review as always. You’ve always taught us about all these super wild stuffs which otherwise are never recommended by other popular KZbin channel. Why? It’s so much fun - of course on a closed circuit streets. And for some reason, I’ve been following you, Sirish, for such a long time on Overdrive that I had always equated Sirish with Overdrive. Like I used to get Overdrive magazines back in 2006 where I’d read your articles. I wish I could find archive of all those articles back in those days.

@imperialenforcer22713 жыл бұрын
Amateurs lol. To do it smoothly, you need a manual or at least an AMT to downshift at the end of slide to power out of it. Instead of yanking the handbrake, you should be better off showing scandinavian flicks with throttle liftoff. Spamming the handbrake will wear out your cable faster. Also, Using throttle when sliding will end your slide and straighten your.
