Hi Everyone! Thanks for watching, we just want to reiterate that the methods we are using a specific to our doors and measurements, you may find that your carcass measurements are different. I hope that the underlying technique helps with drilling. We do not sell the jig we are using directly as these are bundled with our kitchen doors.

Probably not recommended to do this on a kitchen worktop given a mistake on depth won't just ruin the door, but the worktop underneath...

Hi Steve sorry for the repl a few years after the original comment! Yes definetly drill into a scrap board. We are in our workshop here hence the worktop looking a bit worse for wear.

using a drill bit with an adjustable depth bar would prevent you drilling too deep

The door for the built-in washing machine is just a cupboard door. It has holes but they are in the wrong places!

I received my measuring blue Jig, from kitchen warehouse UK, but in this video it shows Daniel using a piece of wood which is attached to the blue jig which means hinge will go 2mm further into the door ,do I attach a piece of wood or just use the blue jig ,

The 35mm hinge hole cutter I have keeps bursting through the side of door destroying the panel, is it the melamine chipboard or should I try a softer chipboard

Cheers for the videos, very informative.Also the one on the hinges was very helpful as well-most seem to go for the Blum ones but these ones seem just as good, but cheaper-and don't have the part on the top, as the piston is concealed?

Can anyone help, ive bought a new base unit but the pre drilled holes are in the wrong place? Is there any east way of fitting them correctly? Makes it more difficult because the old base were 12mm but the new one is 18mm. Shocked all aren't a standard setting.
@Kitchenwarehouseltd6 жыл бұрын
Its difficult as if the holes are already drilled in the door the only other thing you could change is where the holes are drilled to take the crucible (part that goes on the unit)

where to buy the hinge drilling kit?
@Kitchenwarehouseltd6 жыл бұрын
Hinge drilling kits generally come free with our replacement doors, If you are only looking to buy a hinge kit you would be best to visit your local diy store and look for a 35mm hinge hole cutter.

Thınk IF I bought one of your kıtchens, I would expect the doors to be pre drılled.Pretty poor advertisement.
@Kitchenwarehouseltd7 жыл бұрын
Hi Trevor, These are mainly for people who are buying replacement doors. This is so your can drill your new doors to suit the previous crucible holes on your carcases. On full kitchens, we would always drill for our carcases so they can go straight on. There are also times when drilling the door needs to be done on site, the following link should demonstrate why. Many Thanks. kzbin.info/www/bejne/i6m5pHykbMRgotk

Doing this on the work surface is criminal poor practice. Got a thumbs down from me.
